Baja art, architecture, and gastronomy band together at San Marée in Tijuana— the new restaurant in collaboration between artist Alonso Delgadillo, architect Rudy Argote, and Mexico’s Top Chef Mario Peralta. The Baja sea cuisine focused eatery is about to unveil a new dining option for hungry Tijuanenses— and seafood lovers like ourselves!

Artist Alonso Delgadillo “El Norteño” integrates his art within San Marée’s walls to depict Baja’s sea life with his signature brush strokes. From the design viewpoint, Tijuanense Rudy Delgadillo reimagined the bustling corner that housed one of the city’s most beloved markets, into a meeting point for the lovers of art and food. The space is outfitted with custom-designed planters, lamps, and tiles that pay a rendition to Baja California’s indigenous artisans. Surf aficionado, chef Mario Peralta designed a menu influenced by the bounty of the peninsula’s surrounding oceans and draws inspiration from some of his most memorable Baja dishes.

The project aims to pay homage to the fisherman, divers, and families that dedicate their livelihood to the craft.

The project aims to pay homage to the fisherman, divers, and families that dedicate their livelihood to the craft. Without a doubt, they deserve the leading role.
