Viña de Frannes: The perfect summer destination in Mexico's Wine Country

The true charm of the Valle de Guadalupe, is being able to constantly explore, discover, and enjoy the gems of the region. We do make it a point to visit our favorites from time to time, but it’s being able to venture down there, for the new experiences that makes it just that much more worth while. As summer approaches, high season is just about to be in full force, before harvest begins for the wineries down there. Right now the breezes are blowing, the sun begins to shine after a little morning of fog burns off that comes in off of the Pacific Ocean, and it could not be more perfect. I actually enjoying heading to the wine lands at all times of the year, but that transition from Spring to Summer, is definitely something so beautiful. The greenery sprawls across the land as far as the eye can see, and the vines are bursting with grapes in preparation for the harvest season.

Viña de Frannes fits right in, with its streamline design, gorgeous tasting room/restaurant area, and a great outdoor patio that leaves you gazing out at the beauty that is true to the land in Mexico’s wine country. The property also houses its own olive trees, producing their own olives and olive oils along side their line of wines. We grabbed seats outside, and decided to taste their five wines that they are offering at the moment. A white wine, rosé, two red wines, and their sweet wine. Their menu features a more extensive list of their wines, as well as offering up bites representing the region’s local products.

I was overcome with a great deal of serenity while at Viña de Frannes. It’s a bit of a drive off of the dirt roads, but that’s what makes it feel that much more secluded and peaceful. You can’t help but smile, while tasting delicious wines in that scenery
