Tacos El Güero
Every time we go to TJ our first stop is normally tacos. It is just one of those things that has become a habit. We have been to Tacos El Güero several times, but this time I decided to document it. TJ tacos are one thing that are very easy to over eat, well for me at least. I settled for three, and it was the perfect amount. (At this point in time.) I started off with a Taco de Adobada.(Marinated Pork Taco) I am a huge fan of pork, especially when it is juicy and full of flavor. Tacos de Adobada are one taco that I like to try at different places, because I have noticed that they really can differ from each other. In this case, the meat was perfectly seasoned, and it was absolutely delicious. My next taco was a Taco de Carne Asada. These are my classic "go to" to option. The meat had a wonderful smokiness to it, and combined with the creamy avocado and spicy salsa, it was just right. These are also great for those late night cravings. My third and final taco I split with my husband. So technically I only had 2.5 tacos right? Lovely. We shared a Taco de Cabeza. I personally love the texture and consistency of the meat. It was very moist, and actually reminded me a bit of carnitas. Not the flavor, just the overall consistency. I would definitely order this taco again. I know there might be some of you out there afraid of the word "cabeza", meaning head, but this is truly a delightful taco.
All in all I just have to say I heart TJ Tacos!
