Checking In: Bohemian chic and coastal vibes at Nachitas Place in Ensenada
The opportunity to escape reality, even if it is for only one night, is much needed for the soul. Working in a field where creativity, and inspiration meet being a mother to two energetic little ones requires catching a breath of fresh air at times. We decided to pack our bags and head down the Baja coast to the lovely port city of Ensenada. Prior to walking out the door, we knew that staying somewhere that would fill us up with some fresh inspiration and just overall good vibes, Alejandro D’Acosta’s new B&B Nachitas Place was the perfect spot. The location is pleasantly secluded, while still being so close to downtown Ensenada and some of our favorite places to grab bites and drinks. Gazing out the large windows at the view of the city’s port, and Pacific Ocean is serene all on its own.
As you enter the four bedroom house, you are greeted with the most wonderful library/office full of Alejandro’s personal collection of all things architecture, with some of the neatest books, and art pieces. Entering the hallway to our room, the textured white walls, and little kitchen could not be more fitting. The second the door swung open, I was in design heaven. The Bohemian chic and coastal vibes were stunning. I love a space filled with numerous textures and colors, while feeling so inviting at the same time. The bed felt like a cloud, and as much as I wanted to sink into the sheets, I knew that the wonderful world of mariscos outside was calling our names.
We grabbed some bottles of wine at La Contra to enjoy after dinner, but there is also bar just below the house to enjoy some libations at, during your stay.
There’s nothing like a mini getaway that leaves you feeling refreshed and recharged.
