Tacos & Tarros

Considering that it is right down the street from us, we have been eyeing this little eatery for the past couple of months. It was a gorgeous Sunday afternoon, and we were craving Mexican food. (When are we not?!) We decided to grab a table outside, and take a look at the menu. A good friend of mine has been telling me about their Michemango, so I knew that we definitely had to order one of those. This glass of goodness is their Michemango. Think beer of your choice, Mango syrup, Chamoy, and a Chile- Lime powder rimmed glass. Every sip you get the sweetness of the mango, but the refreshing bubbles and taste of the beer. It fit the scene perfectly. A hot summer day, relaxing Sunday with family, and good Mexican food. Next up, it was time to order the food. We decided on their Burrito al Pastor, and a Torta de Carne Asada. The pork in the Burrito al Pastor was light, juicy, and full of flavor. The flour tortilla was fresh, and wrapped up all of the delicious ingredients inside. Overall, I loved the size of the burrito. I didn't feel overpowered by it, which some burritos have the ability to do. The Torta de Carne Asada was so tasty. The bread on the outside was fluffy and slightly toasted. You take a bite and discover caramelized onions, refried beans, carne asada, a refreshing guacamole, and melty cheese. My husband and I both loved the addition of refried beans on the inside. I think that it adds a wonderful creaminess to the overall sandwich. This was a bit on the heavier side, so it worked out perfectly that my husband and I split each plate.

Tacos & Tarros is a wonderful neighborhood eatery. They had great music playing in the background, that almost made you feel like you were on a mini vacation. This time around, we didn't explore the interior, but I loved their outside seating area. I will definitely be returning, and I can not wait to taste the other food and drinks that they have to offer.
