Suzie's Farm
We spent part of our Saturday afternoon walking Suzie's farm, and you couldn't have asked for better weather. Being two days before Halloween, and almost November, we still didn't have one pumpkin in the house. Saturday marked their last day for Pumpkin u- pick, and what's better than going to a local farm and picking your own pumpkins from the ground. I loved having Giovanni on my hip, pointing at every little thing while we strolled up and down the rows of pumpkins. These are the little moments that I absolutely love to share with my little family. Aside from pumpkins they are a USDA Certified farm, that grows over 100 different crops every year. They also supply produce to some of the well- known restaurants and food trucks that are local "farm to table" supporters. You can find them at the local farmers markets as well, with a lovely stall stocked with amazing produce. We paid them a little visit at Little Italy's Mercato. Check out their website that offers recipes, as well as updates on all of the upcoming events. We will definitely be paying close attention to their event (see video below), and hopefully we can make it to most of them. I can't explain the feeling of being in the middle of such beautiful surroundings, and seeing where your food comes from. Suzie's Farm is so close to us, and I really want it to become an "everyday" part of our lives. You are eating fresh, and Organic produce, meanwhile supporting local farms and farmers, it can't get better than that. I want to thank everyone there, they were so kind and helpful about all of the Pumpkin varieties, as well as letting us know about some of their future events.
